How true the below verse is. What a great reminder to above all else seek the Kingdom of God. Whether you are climbing your mountain of debt, find yourself with no job, or are already debt free to always seek God first. As we struggled through our mountain of debt, found ourselves laid off, and praise God employed again, it is seeking God above all else that sustains me day in and out. And on this Resurrection Sunday I am in 'awe' of my God that died on the cross and rose 3 days later.I choose Christ because I believe when He stayed on that cross my name was on His mind, your name was on His mind. And in those trying times in life I know I can rest in the nail pierced hands....the hands that stayed on the cross for me.
Happy Resurrectin Sunday!
and don't forget no coupons in the paper, take this day to praise our AWESOME GOD.

good deal at Walgreens...... It wasn’t in the ad, and it wasn’t marked on the shelf, but I saw on their sign outside that Red Baron pizzas were $1.99. They’re regularly $4.99 at Walgreens, and Aldi’s frozen pizzas are $2.50.....thanks BeckyThursday, April 9, 2009
Day 46

Also, you may have heard of the magazine 'All You'. Well I ended up with a subscription from a fundraiser and was thrilled at all the coupons inside! The BEST one was the FREE Rimmel Curves Mascara ($6.47). My subscription is out and I thought today to see how much it costs at Wal-Mart (2.49), then I checked out the list of coupons inside before I bought it (usually in the last few pages of the magazine) and there it was, the FREE Rimmel Mascara AGAIN! So, I got it (April 17th issue) because the freebee pays for the magazine AND you get 50 more coupons inside! Woohoo!!!
I wanted to share this bargain. I was in Target and saw a bunch of Clinical Protection Dove deodorant for $3.98. If you go onto the Dove website, you can print off a $2.00 off coupon, dropping the price to $1.98! It normally retails for $7.99. I got 3@3.98=$11.94-$2 coupon=$9.94, barely more than the regular price. Wednesday, April 8, 2009

Day 41
Activities and classes for all ages.
Great books to read and stimulate the brain and imagination.
Movies to check out instead of rent.
Music and audio books for your listening pleasure. Think about your next road trip.... Listen to that book you've been wanting to read.
Our local library has the card catalog online. I can go online and check for the item I am hoping to check out and see if it is available.
Most libraries also participate in inter-library loans. If they don't carry the book, they will contact other libraries to see if they do. Your loan time might be a little more restrictive and you might have to wait a little longer, but it is FREE!!
While at your local library stop and see if they have a copy or two or three of THE TIGHTWAD GAZETTE
An absolute must read. A compilation of their issues over the years on frugality.
It will stimulate your creativity and get you thinking of new ways to save money.
Think you are already frugal, just read one of the volumes of THE TIGHTWAD GAZETTE and see what new ways to save you can learn. Just so you don't think this is dry reading, there will be many things to chuckle over. Things you might say NO WAY to, and yet others that make you go hmmm, and ahhhh over.

Click here for to load new coupons on your Kroger (Dillons) cardby Rodger Thompson
The present economic downturn in the nation has begun to come home to roost here in Wichita with thousands of layoffs. Compound that with inflation, the ever present possibility of a medical crisis or a disabling accident or any one of a dozen other things that could strip us of our earning power, and suddenly we are faced with serious financial dilemma.
The Bible warns us about living off of debt.
Proverbs 22:7 (NIV)
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
The Financial Peace University with Dave Ramsey that meets here every Sunday afternoon at 4 pm is challenging many of us to eliminate debt and prepare our finances so we can face whatever might come with peace of mind. If we say we are trusting in the Lord to
provide for us it only makes sense that we would want to follow what he says in the Bible. The time to act is now. Anonymous gamblers, let’s come out of the closet and put our debt habit behind us forever.
Yours for financial peace, Rodger
Rodger is my pastor. He is an amazing man of God.
We hope to soon have summer dates for the next Finacial Peace University.
