Day 24

Tip: when trying to get out of debt sit down every pay period and budget your check. Tell every penny where to go.

Then pull out cash for your envelopes. Yes real paper envelopes!

We use the following cash envelopes:

Groceries (includes Health and Beauty)
Dining
Clothing
Gifts
Gas money envelope would be nice but I am not willing to drag three kids into the gas station to pay!

The rest of the check goes toward monthly bills, debt or savings.

If there is any extra at the end of the week put it towards your debt or savings.
You never over spend because when the money is gone, you are done spending. Is every month perfect? No! Sometimes you may have to borrow from another envelope.
